Tactics such as gaslighting and reactive abuse are just some of the weapons used against survivors to keep them confused and blaming themselves. Remarriage and divorce are so common in the church yet not talked about often. In fact, a fear of advocating for divorce is hurting many who need encouragement. But what about abuse and the lack of it being brought up as grounds for divorce? Could that silence be INCREASING the divorce and abuse rates in the church?
